Critical thinking about 911

Comment:

Why watch the 911 video?

Follow-up:

Well, there are several reasons for watching this video:

  • On the 9th anniversary of the 911 event, there are many “official” memoirs of what happened on that day. As a “critical thinking” (a pre-requisite of “computational thinking”) exercise, it is useful to stimulate our brain by getting to know something contrary to main stream information.
  • There are plenty of computing related events in the video:
    (i) The computer simulation done to verify the fact that the debris dropped at free-fall speed
(ii) The computer simulation done (by the NIST) to prove that WTC-7 was burnt to collapse

In later “meetings”, I will also show some other controversial videos to challenge your “lateral thinking”.

  1. As you said that in video there are many events on computations one of which is the computer simulation done to verify the fact that the debris dropped at free-fall speed. Its an interesting simulation which is worth watching.
